Wedding Destinations: Antigua and Barbuda

Description of Antigua and Barbuda

Your choice of 365 white sand beaches and vivid turquoise water is what this island has to offer you for your destination wedding or romantic honeymoon. In the heart of the Caribbean, this island has inlets, covers and natural harbors. Sailing is one of Antigua’s major attractions. Its round, amoeba-like shape, finds hotels all around the perimeter of the island. There are many choices for your destination wedding.

Barbuda is a small, tranquil island that has yet to see if first real paved road. A flat coral island with a large lagoon on one side, it has an abundance of long beaches with pink or white sand. This island is best suited for those who yearn for peace and quiets, or nature lovers who want to visit the bird sanctuary at the lagoon. The waters and dozens of shipwrecks off Barbuda are considered a diver’s dream. Try this island for a small, intimate destination wedding or romantic honeymoon.

Location: Antigua (pronounced An-tee'ga) and Barbuda are located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, roughly 17 degrees north of the equator.

The nation also includes the tiny (0.6 square mile) uninhabited island of Redonda, now a nature preserve.
